Respect and Tolerance for All Faiths

In accordance with the teachings of Lord Shree Swaminarayan and Jeevanpran Swamibapa, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree is a renowned and progressive social reformer; leaders of all faiths have been keen to meet and honour His efforts in promoting interfaith tolerance and understanding.

As you will hear today, Acharya Swamisree’s teachings are ecumenical; promoting a climate of peace and brotherhood - a universal message that cuts across colours, creeds and faiths. Irrespective of one’s religious inclination, values such as charity, compassion and understanding are shared by all mankind. It is these values that Acharya Swamishree so vehemently propounds.

This evening’s opening ceremony symbolises the unity of faiths; mutual understanding and respect; and cooperation for the benefit of mankind. The collective lighting of the flame of peace denotes the mutual acceptance of these values.

London is the most cosmopolitan city in the world, perhaps comprising the widest range of people of any of the world’s capitals. It is particularly befitting that such a show of unity takes place at this iconic venue.
